For the Canadian River...the following locations are included...
Amarillo 19N.

.1 TO 2 inches of rain fell Sunday evening upstream of the gage
site. The runoff from the heavy rain has caused a significant rise on
the river. The river is expected to remain near its 6 foot bankfull
stage through the early evening and then slowly fall overnight.

For the Canadian River Near Amarillo 19N.
* Latest stage: 5.6 feet at 3 PM Monday.
* Flood stage: 7.0 feet.
* Bankfull stage: 6.0 feet.
At 7.0 feet...Dirt road that runs east alongside the river channel
becomes flooded. This road leads to Rosita Creek Flats Recreation
Area, where primitive camping occurs.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
