Water levels can be expected to rise on the Little Tallahatchie
Canal...S.F. Fork Forked Deer River...S.F. Forked Deer River...Saint
At 8 PM Thursday, the stage on the Saint Francis River near Saint
Francis was 19.0 feet and rising. Flood stage is 22.0 feet.At 19.0
feet, Overbank flooding into low land near the river begins..
At 9 PM Thursday, the stage on the S.F. Forked Deer River at Jackson
was 30.5 feet and rising. Flood stage is 34.0 feet.At 32.0 feet,
Overbank flooding is beginning in low lying land along the river.
At 9 PM Thursday, the stage on the S.F. Fork Forked Deer River near
Halls was 6.8 feet and rising. Flood stage is 9.0 feet.At 8.5 feet,
Water is ponding on low lying farmland.
At 9 PM Thursday, the stage on the Little Tallahatchie Canal at
Little Tallahatchie River at Etta near New Albany was 17.7 feet and
rising. Flood stage is 25.0 feet.At 24.0 feet, Widespread farmland
flooding is beginning. Small tributary streams are causing backwater
flooding between New Albany and State Highway 30..
