Gusty northwest winds which have created areas of blowing snow
across the eastern Dakotas this morning will gradually subside
today. Snow across the eastern Dakotas into western Minnesota
should diminish from west to east, leaving only a few flurries
for tonight across parts of northern Minnesota.

Bitterly cold wind chills this morning from eastern Montana into
the western Dakotas will only improve slightly today. High
temperatures will range from around zero in eastern Montana and
western North Dakota, to the teens above zero in western
Minnesota.

It will remain very cold tonight into Friday morning. Lows will
generally be in the teens and single digits below zero. The very cold
weather is expected to continue through the weekend and into next
week.
