REGIONAL WEATHER SUMMARY
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LOUISVILLE KY
442 PM EDT TUE AUG 26 2014 /342 PM CDT TUE AUG 26 2014/

Skies were partly to mostly cloudy overnight. Low temperatures
ranged from 67 degrees at Frankfort to 75 degrees at Louisville
International Airport.

Another hot and muggy day was on tap across the Ohio Valley as a
strong area of high pressure encompassed much of the contiguous US.
As of 2 PM EDT, temperatures ranged from the upper 80s to the lower
90s.

Isolated showers popped up across south central Kentucky, slowly
working their way south-southwestward through the early afternoon.
Only a slight chance of a shower or storm will persist into the
evening hours, with most places staying dry. Otherwise, expect a
mostly dry forecast through mid week, with the best chance for an
isolated shower or storm across southern Indiana or north central
Kentucky.

An expansive area of high pressure will remain in place over the
Eastern United States late this week, with hot and muggy conditions
persisting. Tonight expect partly cloudy skies with lows in the
lower 70s. On Wednesday expect partly cloudy skies with scattered
showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon, but most areas will
remain dry.
