SKIES WERE CLOUDY ACROSS NORTHERN ILLINOIS AND NORTHWEST INDIANA
LATE THIS AFTERNOON. TEMPERATURES MADE IT INTO THE MID TO UPPER
30S WITH SOUTHERLY WINDS.

LOW PRESSURE ACROSS THE NORTHERN PLAINS WILL MOVE TOWARD THE UPPER
MIDWEST. SOUTHERLY WINDS AHEAD OF THIS SYSTEM WILL KEEP TEMPERATURES
MILD ACROSS OUR AREA. PRECIPITATION WILL START OUT EARLY MONDAY
MORNING IN THE FORM OF MIXED WINTRY PRECIPITATION...MAINLY ACROSS
NORTH CENTRAL ILLINOIS AND ALONG THE ILLINOIS WISCONSIN STATE
LINE. HOWEVER THE PRECIPITATION WILL TRANSITION TO RAIN AS
TEMPERATURES WARM INTO THE 40S. A SECOND STORM SYSTEM COULD IMPACT
THE REGION ON CHRISTMAS EVE...BRINGING SOME SNOW TO THE AREA BUT
MODELS HAVE TRENDED FURTHER EAST WITH MORE SIGNIFICANT
ACCUMULATIONS. KEEP CHECKING LATER FORECASTS ON THE POTENTIAL FOR
ACCUMULATING SNOW OVER PARTS OF THE MIDWEST.
