IT WAS A CLOUDY AND MILD AFTERNOON ACROSS SOUTHEAST KANSAS AND THE
MISSOURI OZARKS. A FEW SPRINKLES WERE SEEN FROM TIME TO TIME BUT
MOST LOCATIONS REMAINED DRY. LATE AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES WERE IN
THE UPPER 40S TO AROUND 50.

A STRONG COLD FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH THE AREA THIS EVENING TURNING
TEMPERATURES MUCH COLDER ONCE AGAIN. RAIN WILL BEGIN TO INCREASE
ALONG THE FRONT LATER THIS EVENING...BUT WILL TRANSITION OVER TO
FREEZING RAIN...SLEET AND SNOW ONCE TEMPERATURES DROP BELOW FREEZING
LATE TONIGHT. THERE WILL BE A CHANCE FOR ACCUMULATING SLEET AND SNOW DURING
THE DAY WEDNESDAY...ESPECIALLY OVER SOUTH CENTRAL PORTIONS OF
MISSOURI. WINTER STORM WARNINGS HAVE BEEN ISSUED FOR SOUTH CENTRAL
MISSOURI...WITH WINTER WEATHER ADVISORIES TO THE NORTH FROM EXTREME
SOUTHEAST KANSAS THROUGH THE INTERSTATE 44 CORRIDOR.

THE SNOW WILL TAPER OFF WEDNESDAY NIGHT WITH COLD CONDITIONS THEN
SETTLING IN FOR THURSDAY.

THE UPCOMING WEEKEND LOOKS BEAUTIFUL WITH SUNNY SKIES AND AFTERNOON
HIGH TEMPERATURES CLIMBING TO NEAR THE 50 DEGREE MARK.
