...FIRE DANGER STATEMENT IN EFFECT ACROSS NORTHEAST GEORGIA FROM
NOON EST TODAY THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON...

Very dry conditions will continue across northeast Georgia today.
Temperatures warming into the upper 50s and lower 60s combined
with a very dry airmass will allow relative humidity values to
lower to between 20 to 25 percent for several hours during the
afternoon, with some locations dropping below 20 percent. Winds
are forecast to remain relatively light today, generally between
5 to 10 mph with only an occasional weak gust possible. While
fuels will be marginal, the combination of winds and low relative
humidity will increase fire danger.

Please refer to your local burn permitting authorities on whether
you can burn on Saturday. If you do burn, use caution since fires
can quickly get out of hand under these conditions.
