...WINTER STORM WATCH IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY EVENING THROUGH
LATE SUNDAY NIGHT...

The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a Winter
Storm Watch, which is in effect from Saturday evening through
late Sunday night.

* MAIN HAZARD...Heavy wet snow.

* PRECIPITATION ACCUMULATION...Possibly several inches.

* TIMING...Saturday evening through late Sunday night...with the
  heaviest snow Sunday afternoon and evening.

* LOCATION...West of Highway 281.

* UNCERTAINTY...This watch is in effect in case the worst possible
  scenario occurs. It is difficult for snow to accumulate during
  the day in late April...but if it occurs, the impacts could be
  significant. There is potential that the snow mostly melts on
  contact during the day Sunday.

* WINDS...North increasing to 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55
  mph.

* IMPACTS...Reduced visibilities from falling and blowing snow. If
  several inches of snow accumulates...falling trees and tree
  limbs could cause property damage and power outages.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Storm Watch means there is a potential for significant
snow accumulations that may impact travel. Continue to monitor
the latest forecasts.
