.DISCUSSION...
ASIDE FROM A STRAY LIGHT RAIN SHOWER OR TWO ACROSS MADISON
AND FRANKLIN COUNTIES IN NORTHWEST ARKANSAS...THE FORECAST
AREA HAS BEEN DRY OVERNIGHT. THUNDERSTORMS HAVE STAYED TO THE
SOUTH OF THE AREA NEAR A FRONTAL BOUNDARY THAT STRETCHES ACROSS
NORTH TEXAS INTO SOUTHERN ARKANSAS. EXPECT THE AREA TO STAY DRY
TODAY AS WEAK HIGH PRESSURE BUILDS INTO THE REGION.

THE NORTHERN REACHES OF THE FORECAST AREA MAY BE BRUSHED BY SCATTERED
SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WEDNESDAY INTO THURSDAY AS A SERIES OF
MID-LEVEL SHORTWAVES MOVE ACROSS THE CENTRAL PLAINS. AN MCS MAY
DEVELOP OVER EASTERN KANSAS WEDNESDAY EVENING AND MOVE INTO EXTREME
NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS LATE WEDNESDAY NIGHT
INTO THURSDAY.

WILL KEEP THE REMAINDER OF THE FORECAST DRY AS HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT
BUILDS INTO THE REGION FROM THE SOUTHWEST BEGINNING ON THURSDAY
AND SHIFTING OVER THE LOWER MISSISSIPPI VALLEY OVER THE WEEKEND.
THE RESULT FOR EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS IS HOT AND
HUMID CONDITIONS.
