...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN CRAWFORD AND NORTHWESTERN SEBASTIAN COUNTIES...

AT 850 PM CDT...THE PUBLIC AND MEDIA REPORTED FLASH FLOODING
OCCURRING VAN BUREN AND NORTH FORT SMITH.  NUMEROUS REPORTS HAVE
BEEN RECEIVED OF SEVERELY FLOODED ROADWAYS AND WATER IN SOME
RESIDENCES.

THE HEAVY RAINFALL HAS ENDED HOWEVER LIGHT RAIN MAY CONTINUE FOR
ANOTHER HOUR.  ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS WILL BE LESS THAN ONE
QUARTER INCH.

FLOODING WILL CONTINUE DESPITE THE HEAVY RAIN ENDING.  EXCESSIVE
RUNOFF WILL KEEP ROADWAYS FLOODED FOR SEVERAL HOURS.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
FORT SMITH AND VAN BUREN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
