...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR SOUTHERN FRANKLIN COUNTY
UNTIL 900 PM CDT...

THE OFF AND ON LIGHT TO OCCASIONALLY MODERATE RAIN WILL END IN
SOUTHERN FRANKLIN COUNTY LATER THIS EVENING. THE HEAVY RAIN THAT
FELL IN THE AREA WILL CONTINUE TO RUNOFF AND CAUSE HIGH WATER IN
LOW-LYING AREAS AND IN DRAINAGE DITCHES AND CREEKS. THE THREAT FOR
NEW WATER RISES IS DIMINISHING...BUT THE WARNING WILL REMAIN IN
EFFECT UNTIL THE WATER HAS A CHANCE TO DRAIN FURTHER.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

DO NOT DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO AREAS WHERE WATER COVERS THE ROAD TO
UNKNOWN DEPTHS. IT ONLY TAKES TWO FEET OF RUSHING WATER TO CARRY AWAY
MOST SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES AND PICKUPS. TAKE A DIFFERENT ROUTE TO
REACH YOUR DESTINATION OR WAIT UNTIL THE WATER RECEDES. REMEMBER...
MOST FLOOD RELATED DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES.
