* URBAN AND SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHERN OTTAWA COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 745 AM CDT

* AT 451 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS MUCH OF OTTAWA COUNTY. RAINFALL AMOUNTS OF
  ONE TO TWO INCHES WILL BE POSSIBLE. WITH SOILS ALREADY WET FROM
  HEAVY RAINS YESTERDAY MORNING...THESE AMOUNTS WILL CAUSE URBAN AND
  SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN THE ADVISORY AREA.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MIAMI...COMMERCE...QUAPAW...TREECE...PICHER...PEORIA AND CARDIN.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. NEVER DRIVE YOUR VEHICLE INTO
AREAS WHERE THE WATER COVERS THE ROADWAY. FLOOD WATERS ARE USUALLY
DEEPER THAN THEY APPEAR. JUST ONE FOOT OF FLOWING WATER IS POWERFUL
ENOUGH TO SWEEP VEHICLES OFF THE ROAD. WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED
ROADS MAKE THE SMART CHOICE...TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN.
