THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN TULSA HAS ISSUED A

* SMALL STREAM FLOOD ADVISORY FOR...
  NORTHWESTERN OTTAWA COUNTY IN NORTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA...

* UNTIL 930 AM CDT

* AT 636 AM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED HEAVY RAIN DUE TO
  SLOWMOVING THUNDERSTORMS. THIS MAY CAUSE SMALL STREAM FLOODING IN
  THE ADVISORY AREA. THIS IS THE SECOND ROUND OF LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN
  IN THE AREA...WITH RAIN RATES IN THE 1 TO 2 INCH PER HOUR
  RANGE.

* SOME LOCATIONS THAT MAY EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
  MIAMI...                          COMMERCE...
  QUAPAW...                         TREECE...
  PICHER...                         OTTAWA...
  CARDIN...

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL IS EXPECTED OVER THE AREA AS STORMS ARE NEARLY
STATIONARY OR DRIFTING EAST. THIS ADDITIONAL RAIN WILL INCREASE
THE LIKELIHOOD OF MINOR FLOODING.

THIS INCLUDES INTERSTATE 44 BETWEEN MILE MARKERS 306 AND 316.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TURN AROUND...DON`T DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

EXCESSIVE RUNOFF FROM HEAVY RAINFALL WILL CAUSE FLOODING OF SMALL
CREEKS AND STREAMS...COUNTRY ROADS...FARMLAND...AND OTHER LOW LYING
SPOTS.
