ONSET...MIDDAY OR EARLY AFTERNOON.

DISCUSSION...

DANGEROUS HEAT INDICES ARE FORECAST LATER TODAY ACROSS EASTERN
OKLAHOMA AND WESTERN ARKANSAS...WITH VALUES IN THE 105 TO 110
DEGREE RANGE COMMON. CONDITIONS WILL IMPROVE AROUND SUNSET THIS
EVENING.

A FEW ISOLATED THUNDERSTORMS ARE EXPECTED TO DEVELOP IN THE HIGHER

SPOTTER ACTIVATION NOT EXPECTED.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.

POTENTIAL.
THURSDAY AND FRIDAY...THUNDERSTORM POTENTIAL.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...

THE RIDGE OF HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL GRADUALLY WEAKEN AND SHIFT
WEST GOING INTO NEXT WEEK. THIS WILL ALLOW THUNDERSTORM CHANCES TO
GRADUALLY INCREASE...WITH THE BETTER CHANCES EARLY IN THE WEEK AND
AGAIN LATE IN THE WEEK AND INTO NEXT WEEKEND...BOTH IN ASSOCIATION
WITH A NEARBY FRONTAL BOUNDARY. WIND SHEAR ALOFT WILL STILL REMAIN
FAIRLY WEAK...THEREFORE THE OVERALL SEVERE RISK WILL BE LOW.

DANGEROUS AFTERNOON HEAT INDICES ARE FORECAST THRU THE WEEKEND
AND INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK...BEFORE BACKING OFF SLIGHTLY AS THE WEEK
PROGRESSES.
