FIRE WEATHER DANGER.

AREA...Mainly West of Highway 75.
ONSET...This Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
South winds will gust to near 30 miles an hour at times today. A
limited fire weather potential may develop this afternoon, mainly
west of Highway 75 in northeast Oklahoma where humidity values
will fall into the 30 to 45 percent range.

Widely scattered thunderstorms may develop this evening and
continue into the overnight hours. If storms do develop, they
may become severe, with large hail and damaging winds being the
main threats.

TUESDAY...Very High Fire Weather Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Widespread thunderstorm development is expected Thursday afternoon
and evening as a cold front moves into the area from the
northwest. Severe storms will be likely, especially to the
southeast of Interstate 44. Large hail and damaging winds will be
the main severe weather threats, but a few tornadoes will also be
possible, mainly from southeast Oklahoma into western Arkansas
where wind fields will be most favorable. Locally heavy rainfall
will also be possible from southeast Oklahoma into western
Arkansas.
