...MAY RAINFALL INFORMATION AND NOTABLE AMOUNTS FOR EASTERN OKLAHOMA
   AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THROUGH MAY 19 2015...


APPRECIABLE RAINFALL HAS OCCURRED ACROSS ALL OF EASTERN OKLAHOMA
...WEST CENTRAL NORTHWEST ARKANSAS THIS MONTH. AREAS SOUTH OF INTERSTATE 40
HAVE BEEN HIT PARTICULARLY HARD WITH EXCESSIVE RAIN THAT HAS RESULTED IN
SEVERAL ROUNDS OF FLASH FLOODING...ALONG WITH A PROLONGED PERIOD OF
MAIN STEM RIVER FLOODING. RAIN AMOUNTS SO FAR THIS MONTH HAVE TOTALED
IN EXCESS OF TEN INCHES BY MOST OF THE REPORTING STATIONS ACROSS
SOUTHEAST OKLAHOMA AND FAR WEST CENTRAL ARKANSAS.

BELOW IS SOME RAINFALL CLIMATOLOGY FOR FOUR OF THE MAIN REPORTING
SITES ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND NORTHWEST ARKANSAS:

ADDITIONAL RAINFALL THAT HAS OCCURRED TODAY (5/20) WILL BE ADDED AT THE END
OF THE CLIMATE DAY.


***MONTH TO DATE RAINFALL RECORD WILL BE BROKEN WITH THE ADDITIONAL
   RAINFALL RECORDED ON 5/20/15 AT THE FORT SMITH REGIONAL AIRPORT.
   THE 2.94 INCHES REPORTED THROUGH 1 PM TODAY WILL ALSO SET A NEW
   MONTHLY RAINFALL RECORD FOR MAY. THE CURRENT MONTHLY TOTAL OF 13.95"
   ECLIPSES THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 13.67 INCHES SET IN 1943.
