HIGH PRESSURE ALOFT WILL REMAIN IN PLACE OVER THE AREA THROUGH
THURSDAY. HEAT INDICES WILL RANGE IN THE 100 TO 105 DEGREE RANGE
EACH AFTERNOON WITH THE HOTTEST CONDITIONS ACROSS EASTERN OKLAHOMA AND
WEST-CENTRAL ARKANSAS.

THE COMBINATION OF HOT TEMPERATURES AND HIGH HUMIDITY WILL
COMBINE TO CREATE A POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS SITUATION IN WHICH HEAT
ILLNESSES CAN OCCUR. DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS...STAY IN AN AIR-
CONDITIONED ROOM...STAY OUT OF THE SUN... AND CHECK UP ON
RELATIVES AND NEIGHBORS.

A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE INTO THE REGION ON FRIDAY WITH SHOWERS
AND THUNDERSTORM LIKELY WITH THE FRONT. COOLER CONDITIONS ARE
EXPECTED INTO THE WEEKEND BEHIND THE FRONT.
