URGENT - WINTER WEATHER MESSAGE

...LIGHT ICING EXPECTED ACROSS PORTIONS OF NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA
TODAY...

.A shallow arctic airmass has wedged its way into Northeast
Oklahoma, and will continue to move southeast this evening into
Southeast Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. Moisture riding up and
over this cold air will bring rain with isolated embedded
thunderstorms to areas that are near or slightly below freezing at
the surface, resulting in freezing rain and some icing.

6 AM CST WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Freezing rain expected. Total ice accumulations of a
  light glaze up toward a tenth of an inch are expected.

* WHERE...Portions of east central, northeast and southeast
  Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

* WHEN...From 9 PM this evening to 6 AM CST Wednesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The ice will result in very slippery
  conditions on sidewalks, roads and bridges.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of freezing rain
will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads.
