Any livestock and farm equipment should be moved to higher ground. The Tallapoosa River at Milstead. * At 8:30 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 20.8 feet. * Action stage is 15.0 feet. * Flood stage is 40.0 feet. * Forecast...The river is expected to fall below 15.0 feet Wednesday evening. * Impact...At 25.0 feet...Considerable low land flooding occurs. Livestock should be moved to higher ground. Another statement will be issued by Wednesday morning, or sooner if conditions warrant. It is emphasized that these forecasts are based on rainfall that has already occurred and on additional rainfall expected during the next 48 hours.
