This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central
Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east
central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
Missouri.

.DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT

A wintry mix of snow and sleet is likely late tonight across the
northern portion of the outlook area, mainly north of Highway 30.
Total snowfall accumulations by midday Friday of 3 to 5 inches
are possible north of Highway 20 with 1 to 3 inches to the south.
Most of the accumulation will be on grassy and elevated surfaces.
However, in areas of heavy snow, the snow will likely stick to
pavement and lead to hazardous travel conditions. A Winter Weather
Advisory is in effect for the counties along the Highway 20 corridor
from late tonight through midday Friday.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

Snow and sleet will continue through late Friday morning along
and north of Highway 30, before exiting the area.

The active weather will continue through the weekend into early
next week, with several periods of precipitation and strong
winds. Isolated thunderstorms are possible on Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation may be needed tonight. Any snowfall reports
over 1 inch will be appreciated.
