...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of north central Missouri, including the
  following counties, Grundy, Harrison, Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from
  earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 153 PM CDT, Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen the
    past 24 hours. Additional light to moderate rainfall is
    expected through this evening. Runoff from this rainfall will
    cause creeks and streams to rise out of their banks with some
    road closures likely. Within the past half hour Missouri
    Highway 129 in Putnam County was closed due to flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Bethany, Unionville, Princeton, Ridgeway, Gilman City,
    Mercer, Eagleville, New Hampton, Cainsville, Spickard, Galt,
    Blythedale, Newtown, Pollock, Mount Moriah, Lucerne, Tindall,
    Brimson, Harris and Powersville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
