This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southwest Minnesota, central
South Dakota, east central South Dakota, south central South Dakota
and southeast South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A powerful winter storm system will impact the region this weekend
into early next week. Areas of light snow are expected Saturday into
Saturday night. Periods of moderate to heavy snow and strong winds
develop Sunday into Monday, though Sunday may bring a wintry mix of
precipitation which could limit daytime snow accumulations in some
areas. By Sunday night into Monday night, blizzard conditions are
possible. If you haven`t already, now is the time to prepare for this
prolonged winter storm. Travel disruptions are likely, so be prepared
to adjust travel plans accordingly.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska and southeast South
Dakota.

Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.

A powerful winter storm system will impact the region this weekend
into early next week. A variety of precipitation types are expected
from Saturday through Monday, beginning with areas of light snow on
Saturday. A wintry mix of snow, freezing rain and rain develops on
Sunday, with a few thunderstorms possible by Sunday night. As colder
air wraps in later Monday into Monday night, precipitation will
transition back to snow, with total snowfall accumulations highly
dependent on the timing of rain/snow transitions.
