456 PM CDT Fri Mar 22 2024

The day started out rather foggy across portions of central and
southeast Kansas, with dense fog reducing visibilities to one-half

strong and gusty north winds, with peak wind gusts reaching 40 to 45
mph for some locations. Late afternoon temperatures were a bit
cooler than yesterday across Kansas, ranging from the 40s to the
60s, warmest over far southern portions.

Fairly quiet weather will prevail tonight across the region, as high
pressure continues settling south into Mid-America. Forecast low
temperatures will be seasonably cool in the 20s and 30s.

Stout and gusty south to southeast winds will be on the increase
Saturday, strongest over western Kansas, ahead of the next storm
system. Gusts will reach 45 mph at times over western Kansas.
Additionally, a few showers or sprinkles are possible across central
and northern portions of the state. Forecast high temperatures range
from 40s over northeast Kansas, to near 70 degrees over far western
Kansas.
