Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Southeast Illinois
National Weather Service Lincoln IL
217 PM CDT Tue Mar 26 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Low-level winds will continue to gradually veer from southwest to
west late this afternoon and evening as a cold front departs
Illinois to the east. Spotty sprinkles or flurries will be
possible this evening and overnight. Vent rates will improve by
Thursday as winds back to the southwest and mixing heights
increase. A slow-moving front then sets up over central Illinois
over the weekend, bringing low mixing heights and periods of
additional rainfall.
