606 WGUS83 KJKL 062159 FLSJKL Flood Advisory National Weather Service Jackson KY 559 PM EDT Mon May 6 2024 KYC147-235-070100- /O.NEW.KJKL.FA.Y.0019.240506T2159Z-240507T0100Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ McCreary KY-Whitley KY- 559 PM EDT Mon May 6 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of south central Kentucky, including the following counties, McCreary and Whitley. * WHEN...Until 900 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 559 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
