FOR WATERS BEYOND FIVE NAUTICAL MILES OF SHORE ON Lake Michigan.

Waves are provided as a range of significant wave heights, which
is the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave, along with the
average height of the highest 10% of the waves which will
occasionally be encountered.

.SYNOPSIS...

Light northerly winds will become easterly this evening and
increase through the night as low pressure of 29.2 inches
approaches from the Central Plains. The low will reach central
Lake Michigan Wednesday evening with a central pressure around
29.5 inches. Stronger easterly winds are expected Tuesday
afternoon and night, with the potential for gale force gusts up to
35 kt in the central and northern parts of the lake. Winds will
become westerly with gusts up to 30 kt Wednesday night into
Thursday behind the departing low. We are holding off issuing a
gale watch due to low confidence in the strength of the low as it
reaches the Upper Great Lakes.

8 ft occasionally to 10 ft.
.TUESDAY NIGHT...East gales to 35 kt becoming southeast. Showers
with a chance of thunderstorms. Waves 8 to 11 ft occasionally to
14 ft.
.WEDNESDAY...Southeast winds to 30 kt becoming south 15 to 25 kt.
Showers with a chance of thunderstorms. Waves 7 to 10 ft
