Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

.SYNOPSIS FOR CALIFORNIA WATERS...A low pressure trough along the
central and northern California coast will persist today, then
gradually weaken Tue. The trough will then drift south over the
central California waters late Tue and Tue night and dissipate
Wed. A high pressure ridge to the N and NW of the region will
gradually weaken through Tue. Another area of high pressure will
build in from the W Tue into Wed, then gradually shift to the
southern waters Wed night into Thu night. A weak cold front will
move into the NW portion Thu, then reach the central waters Thu
night into Fri. The front will then enter the S waters Fri night.
High pressure will rebuild W of the waters Thu night into Fri
night. Later Fri night a cold front will approach the northern
waters.
