...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

Appreciable snow is no longer expected through this afternoon.
Therefore, the winter weather advisory has been cancelled.

Additional snowfall does return to the region later tonight and
Tuesday. However, amounts are expected to remain below advisory
thresholds except over the highest peaks.

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM MDT
TUESDAY...

* WHAT...After a quiet Monday, snowfall is expected to increase
  later Monday night and continue through Tuesday. Snowfall of 10
  to 16 inches is expected, with local totals of 18 to 24 inches
  over the highest peaks of the Tetons. West wind gusting 25 to
  35 mph.

* WHERE...Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult Tuesday morning over both
  Teton and Togwotee Passes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The heaviest snowfall falls between
  12 midnight and 12 noon Tuesday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency.

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches.
  Storm total snowfall of 8 to 12 inches.

* WHERE...Casper Mountain.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be difficult on Casper Mountain and on
  the switchbacks heading up the north face of the mountain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The snow gradually diminishes through the
  evening hours.

Slow down and use caution while traveling.

TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches,
  with slightly higher totals in the mountains of southwest
  Yellowstone. Storm total accumulation of 5 to 10 inches, with
  lesser amounts below 7500 feet.

* WHERE...Yellowstone National Park.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM MDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult, especially in the
  backcountry.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Travel on paved roads could be slick and
  snow-covered at times, particularly during the nighttime hours.

EVENING...

* WHAT...Snow. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 6 inches.
  Storm total snowfall of 8 to 14 inches. Northwest wind gusting
  25 to 40 mph.

* WHERE...Bighorn Mountains West and Bighorn Mountains Southeast.

* WHEN...Until 11 PM MDT this evening.

* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult over both Powder River
  and Granite Passes. Gusty wind could cause blowing snow,
  reducing visibilities at times.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snow tapers off gradually Monday evening.
  Another round of heavier snow is possible Tuesday night and Wednesday.
