...The National Weather Service in Springfield MO has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Missouri...

  James River at Galena affecting Stone County.

For the James River...including Galena, Boaz...Minor flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Many flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The next statement will be issued late tonight at 545 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS MORNING TO WEDNESDAY
AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...James River at Galena.

* WHEN...From this morning to Wednesday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...At 16.0 feet, Approximate level which floods Hootentown
  Access and Campground.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 5:15 AM CDT Monday the stage was 12.7 feet.
  - Bankfull stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this morning to a crest of 16.5 feet just after midnight
    tonight. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow
    afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    16.5 feet on 02/25/2001.
