Gusty southwest to west winds are expected through Sunday, the strongest winds are expected tonight into early Sunday morning. Peak gusts of 50 to 60 mph expected, with isolated gusts to 70 mph possible near the San Gorgonio Pass. Winds slowly weaken into Sunday night. Periods of weaker but still breezy winds are expected Monday afternoon and evening on desert mountain slopes, through pass, and into portions of the deserts. In addition to wind, there is a 60 to 70 percent chance of wetting rain tonight into Sunday morning in the mountains, 30 to 40 percent chance in the valleys, and 15 to 20 percent at the coast. Light snow is expected above 7000 ft. Slow warming and dry weather Monday through Friday.
