The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Rio Grande County in Puerto Rico...

* Until 600 PM AST.

* At 246 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain
  have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 2 inches in 2 hours.
  Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Rio Grande, Loiza, Vieques, Hato Candal, La Dolores, Suarez,
  Bartolo and Palmer.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
