THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

AN ARCTIC COLD FRONT WILL SLIDE SOUTH AND WEST THROUGH THE AREA THIS
MORNING...BRINGING SOME SNOWFALL TO MUCH OF THE AREA...GUSTY WINDS
WITH AREAS OF BLOWING SNOW...AND FALLING TEMPERATURES THROUGH
THE DAY. THE HEAVIEST SNOW WILL FALL ACROSS THE NORTHERN BLACK
HILLS AND BEAR LODGE MOUNTAINS TODAY AND INTO THIS EVENING...WITH 3
TO 7 INCHES EXPECTED. THE SPEARFISH AND STURGIS AREAS SHOULD SEE
2 TO 4 INCHES OF SNOW. MUCH OF THE NORTHEAST WYOMING PLAINS SHOULD
RECEIVE 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW...WITH MOSTLY AN INCH OR LESS OVER
THE WESTERN AND SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS. THE STRONGEST
WINDS WILL BE IN THE RAPID CITY AREA...WHERE SOME GUSTS TO 45 TO 50
MPH CAN BE EXPECTED LATER THIS MORNING AND AFTERNOON. SNOW AND WIND
WILL GRADUALLY TAPER OFF LATE TODAY AND TONIGHT. LOWS TONIGHT WILL BE
NEAR OR BELOW ZERO IN MOST AREAS...WITH WIND CHILLS TO 20 BELOW
ZERO TO THE NORTH AND EAST OF THE BLACK HILLS LATE TONIGHT INTO
EARLY THURSDAY.
