...WINTER STORM WILL CONTINUE TO BRING SNOW AND GUSTY WINDS TO
MUCH OF THE AREA THIS MORNING...

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR WESTERN SOUTH DAKOTA AND
NORTHEASTERN WYOMING.

.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE MOVING INTO THE MIDWEST THIS
MORNING...WITH SNOWFALL GRADUALLY ENDING THROUGH MORNING AND
AFTERNOON HOURS. GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL CONTINUE TO PRODUCE
BLOWING SNOW ON THE PLAINS AND ENHANCED UPSLOPE SNOWFALL OVER THE
NORTHERN BLACK HILLS THIS MORNING. THE LOWEST VISIBILITY WILL BE
ACROSS THE OPENS PLAINS OF SOUTH DAKOTA EAST OF RAPID CITY TO
PHILIP TO WINNER TO PINE RIDGE. HOWEVER VISIBILITY WILL SLOWLY
IMPROVE THROUGH THE DAY AS WINDS AND SNOW DECREASE.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY

A STORM SYSTEM WILL CROSS THE REGION ON CHRISTMAS BRINGING
ADDITIONAL SNOW TO THE AREA. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP CHRISTMAS
MORNING AND CONTINUE ACROSS THE AREA CHRISTMAS NIGHT...GRADUALLY
ENDING THROUGH THE NIGHT OR EARLY FRIDAY MORNING. SNOWFALL TOTALS
OF 1 TO 4 INCHES ARE GENERALLY EXPECTED AT THIS TIME.

ANOTHER STORM SYSTEM MAY PRODUCE SNOW ON CHRISTMAS DAY.
