.DISCUSSION...DRY...MILD...AND VERY WINDY CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED
ACROSS THE SOUTH DAKOTA PLAINS TODAY. THESE CONDITIONS WILL PUT
THE RANGE LAND FIRE DANGER INTO THE VERY HIGH CATEGORY.
COOLER AND LESS BREEZY CONDITIONS WILL ALLOW THE RANGE LAND FIRE
DANGER TO FALL TO THE MODERATE CATEGORY FOR FRIDAY.

CATEGORY THIS AFTERNOON. VERY POOR WEATHER CONDITIONS OR A
VERY LOW MOISTURE CONTENT OF GRASSES...AND OTHER DRY
ORGANIC MATERIAL ON THE GROUND...INDICATE THAT DANGEROUS
BURNING CONDITIONS EXIST. FIRES WILL SPREAD RAPIDLY AND
SHOW ERRATIC BEHAVIOR. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE
RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS
ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
