RANGELAND FIRE DANGER STATEMENT

.DISCUSSION...Skies will be partly to mostly cloudy today as
showers and thunderstorms develop again. Highs will be in the mid
70s to lower 80s. Winds will be east to southeast at 10 to 20
mph. Relative humidities will drop to the 35 to 45 percent range
in most areas this afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms will continue into Tuesday with mostly
cloudy conditions and wetting rains in areas. The rangeland fire
danger will be in the low category on Tuesday.

...Moderate Fire Danger...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the moderate category
this afternoon. Marginal weather conditions or a lowering
moisture content of grasses, and other dry organic material on
the ground, indicate that there is some potential for a fire
occurrence. Do not leave outdoor fires unattended under these
conditions.

The outlook for Tuesday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the low category.

afternoon. Favorable weather conditions or a high moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that the probability of a fire occurrence is low.
