.DISCUSSION...SKIES WILL BE VARIABLY CLOUDY ACROSS SOUTH CENTRAL
SOUTH DAKOTA TODAY WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES IN THE MID 60S. WINDS
WILL BE SOUTHERLY...INCREASING TO 10 TO 20 MPH BY THE AFTERNOON.
RELATIVE HUMIDITIES WILL DROP TO 25 TO 30 PERCENT IN THE
AFTERNOON.

MOISTURE CONTENT OF GRASSES...AND OTHER DRY ORGANIC MATERIAL
ON THE GROUND...INDICATE THAT THERE IS A MODERATE TO HIGH
POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE
RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS
ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
