.DISCUSSION...High pressure will move across North Dakota into
eastern South Dakota today. High temperatures will be in the mid
80s across northwest South Dakota to around 90 in southwest
South Dakota. Minimum relative humidity will be around
35 percent this afternoon with easterly winds at 10 to 15 mph.

...High Fire Danger...

The grassland fire danger index will reach the high category this
afternoon. Unfavorable weather conditions or a low moisture
content of grasses, and other dry organic material on the ground,
indicate that there is a moderate to high potential for a fire
occurrence. Outdoor burning should be restricted to early morning
or evening hours when wind speeds are usually lower and the
relative humidity is higher.

The outlook for Wednesday afternoon, The grassland fire danger
index will reach the high category to very high category.
