.DISCUSSION...A COLD FRONT WILL GRADUALLY CROSS THE AREA TODAY.
MAX TEMPERATURES WILL RANGE FROM THE 50S ACROSS NORTHWEST SOUTH
DAKOTA TO THE LOWER 70S OVER SOUTH CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA. CHANCES
FOR PRECIPITATION WILL INCREASE ACROSS THE AREA THIS AFTERNOON AND
EVENING AS A STORM SYSTEM CROSSES THE REGION. RAIN WILL DEVELOP
LATE TODAY THROUGH THE EVENING. THEN AS COLDER AIR SLIDES IN
OVERNIGHT...THE RAIN WILL CHANGE TO SNOW. ONE TO THREE INCHES OF
SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE BY EARLY SUNDAY MORNING ACROSS THE BLACK
HILLS AREA THROUGH SOUTHWEST SOUTH DAKOTA. LIGHT SNOW MAY LINGER
ACROSS THE AREA THROUGH THE DAY SUNDAY WITH TEMPERATURES WELL
BELOW AVERAGE.

VERY LOW MOISTURE CONTENT OF GRASSES...AND OTHER DRY
ORGANIC MATERIAL ON THE GROUND...INDICATE THAT DANGEROUS
BURNING CONDITIONS EXIST. FIRES WILL SPREAD RAPIDLY AND
SHOW ERRATIC BEHAVIOR. OUTDOOR BURNING IS NOT RECOMMENDED.

POTENTIAL FOR A FIRE OCCURRENCE. OUTDOOR BURNING SHOULD BE
RESTRICTED TO EARLY MORNING OR EVENING HOURS WHEN WIND SPEEDS
ARE USUALLY LOWER AND THE RELATIVE HUMIDITY IS HIGHER.
