...HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
6 PM PST SATURDAY...

* WAVES AND/OR SURF...WEST SWELL 16 TO 20 FEET WITH A PERIOD OF
  17 TO 19 SECONDS.

* SOME AFFECTED LOCATIONS...OCEAN SHORES...WESTPORT.

* TIMING...LATE TONIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE HIGHEST
  WAVES MAY OCCUR EARLY SATURDAY MORNING.

* IMPACTS...THIS SWELL TRAIN HAS A FAIRLY LONG PERIOD AT 17 TO
  19 SECONDS...WHICH MEANS WAVES WILL HAVE HIGHER ENERGY
  ALLOWING THEM TO RUN FARTHER UP BEACHES. HIGH SURF CAN CAUSE
  SIGNIFICANT BEACH EROSION. LARGE WAVES ARE DANGEROUS TO BEACH
  GOERS AS WAVES CAN SWEEP QUICKLY UP BEACHES AND OVERTOP
  JETTIES. DEBRIS TOSSED ABOUT IN THE SURF CAN ALSO BE
  DANGEROUS.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A HIGH SURF ADVISORY MEANS THAT HIGH SURF WILL AFFECT BEACHES IN
THE ADVISORY AREA...PRODUCING LOCALIZED BEACH EROSION AND
DANGEROUS SWIMMING CONDITIONS.
