FOR THE FOURTH STRAIGHT MONTH, JULY WAS MUCH WARMER AND DRIER THAN
NORMAL. JUST 0.69 INCHES OF RAIN FELL DURING THE MONTH, WHICH WAS
1.09 INCHES BELOW NORMAL. THE GREATEST RAINFALL DURING THE MONTH WAS
0.48 INCHES ON THE 11TH. MEASUREABLE RAINFALL OCCURRED ON ONLY TWO
DAYS, THE 11TH AND THE 25TH. FOR THE YEAR SO FAR, ONLY 3.44 INCHES
OF MOISTURE HAS BEEN RECORDED, WHICH IS 4.49 INCHES BELOW NORMAL.

THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 77.2 DEGREES, WHICH WAS
6.1 DEGREES WARMER THAN NORMAL. IN FACT, THIS MONTH WAS TIED FOR THE
THIRD WARMEST JULY ON RECORD IN GLASGOW. THE WARMEST JULY WAS IN
1936 WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 81.2 DEGREES. THE AVERAGE HIGH
TEMPERATURE FOR THE MONTH WAS 93.2 DEGREES, WITH AN AVERAGE LOW OF
61.2 DEGREES. THE HOTTEST DAY OF THE MONTH WAS ON THE 8TH WHEN THE
HIGH REACHED 103 DEGREES. THE COOLEST WAS ON THE MORNING OF THE 1ST
WHEN THE LOW DIPPED DOWN TO 54 DEGREES.

THE WIND GUSTED TO 30 MPH OR GREATER ON THIRTEEN DAYS, AND TO 50 MPH
OR GREATER ON TWO DAYS. A PEAK WIND OF 62 MPH WAS RECORDED ON THE
