December started out on a cold note...and generally ended on a cold
note as well. Our coldest temperature of the month was -13 on the
30th...while the warmest day was 57 degrees on the 9th. Overall we
were above normal for temperatures for the entire month...with an
average temperature of 5.2 degrees above normal. Precipitation was a
bit limited this month. Snowfall was generally less than an inch for
the entire month...which is in the top ten of least snowiest
December on record. Only 0.34 inches of rain fell...which was 0.06
below normal.
