WINTER 2015/2016 AT FARGO HECTOR INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT WAS WARMER
AND DRIER THAN NORMAL. THE AVERAGE TEMPERATURE WAS 20.0 DEGREES
MAKING IT 7.4 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL. THIS WAS THE SIXTH WARMEST
WINTER SEASON EVER RECORDED...WITH WINTER 2011/2012 COMING IN FIRST
PLACE WITH AN AVERAGE TEMPERATURE OF 22.1 DEGREES. THE MEAN HIGH
TEMPERATURE OF 27.2 DEGREES FOR THE SEASON WAS 5.8 DEGREES ABOVE
AVERAGE...MAKING IT THE EIGHTH HIGHEST RECORDED. THE MEAN LOW
TEMPERATURE OF 12.7 DEGREES...WAS 8.9 DEGREES ABOVE NORMAL AND
RANKED FOURTH.

LIQUID PRECIPITATION WAS 1.63 INCHES WHICH WAS 0.51 INCHES BELOW THE
SEASONAL AVERAGE OF 2.14 INCHES. SNOWFALL WAS BELOW NORMAL WITH 21.4
INCHES...WHICH IS 8.0 INCHES BELOW THE AVERAGE OF 29.4 INCHES.
