Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest
1/3 of the waves...along with the occasional height of the average
highest 1/10 of the waves.

Synopsis for the Suwannee River to Destin out to 60 nm

.SYNOPSIS...Winds and seas will remain elevated through mid week,
initially due to a strong high pressure system centered over the
Mid Atlantic region today, and then due to a cold front moving
east across the coastal waters on Monday. Winds and seas will
gradually subside later this week.

.REST OF TODAY... East winds 15 to 20 knots, becoming southeast
around 10 knots in Apalachee Bay this afternoon. Seas in
Apalachee Bay 2 feet. Seas elsewhere nearshore 2 to 4 feet. Seas
offshore 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 7 feet. Dominant
period 6 seconds. Protected waters choppy. Slight chance of
showers and thunderstorms.
.TONIGHT...Southeast winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with
occasional seas up to 6 feet west of Apalachicola and 2 to 4 feet
east of Apalachicola. Dominant period 6 seconds. Protected waters
a choppy. Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms in the
evening. Showers and thunderstorms likely after midnight, mainly
west of Apalachicola.
.MONDAY...South winds 20 knots, becoming west 15 to 20 knots late
in the afternoon. Seas 4 to 6 feet with occasional seas up to 8
feet. Dominant period 6 seconds. Protected waters choppy. Showers
and thunderstorms.
.MONDAY NIGHT...North winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 3 to 5 feet with
occasional seas up to 6 feet. Highest seas offshore. Dominant
period 6 seconds. Protected waters a moderate chop. Chance of rain
in the evening.
.TUESDAY...Northwest winds 15 to 20 knots. Seas 2 to 4 feet.
Highest seas offshore. Dominant period 4 seconds. Protected waters
