...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM EDT FOR
MARION AND MORROW COUNTIES...

At 228 PM EDT, emergency management in Morrow County reported that
at least 13 roads were closed due to flooding from Cardington to
Fulton to the Cheserville area including State Routes 42 and 61.

In the city of Martion high water signs have been posted in several
locations.  Rural southern Marion has received the heaviest rains
especially from Green Camp to Waldo and Prospect. Road closures are
likely in this region.

Up to three inches of rain has already fallen from near Green Camp
to Cardington.  Flooding is expected to continue as moderate rain
continues until 4 pm.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Marion, Mount Gilead, Cardington, Ashley, Prospect, La Rue, Morral,
Waldo, Chesterville, Sparta, Caledonia, New Bloomington, Edison,
Green Camp, Marengo, Fulton, Iberia, Shauck and State Route 229 at US
Route 23.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
