...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN FAYETTE AND SOUTHEASTERN SHELBY COUNTIES...

AT 907 PM CDT...DOPPLER RADAR ESTIMATES 2 TO 3 INCHES OF RAIN HAS
OCCURRED OVER THE PAST HOUR. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WILL PRODUCE
AN ADDITIONAL 1 TO 2 INCHES OF RAIN OVER THE NEXT 3 HOURS.

SOME LOCATIONS THAT WILL EXPERIENCE FLOODING INCLUDE...
COLLIERVILLE...PIPERTON...ROSSVILLE...KIRK...ELBA AND HAYS CROSSING.

RAINFALL RATES HAVE BEGUN TO DECREASE...HOWEVER...FLASH FLOOD CAN
STILL OCCUR AFTER THE RAIN HAS STOPPED.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE
DANGERS OF FLOODING.

TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN WHEN ENCOUNTERING FLOODED ROADS. MOST FLOOD
DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
