PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Persons are urged to stay away from the river until water levels recede.

Motorists should avoid any water covered roads and find an alternate route.

Livestock and equipment should remain out of the flood plain for the next few
days.

Stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or other news sources for further updates.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Brazos River In Richmond
* from Friday morning until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0845 PM Thursday the stage was 0.9 feet.
* Major flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue to
  rise to near 50.0 feet by late tomorrow night or early Saturday.
* At 49.8 feet...Massive lowland flooding occurs with many homes in Simonton and
  Thompsons flooded. There is major flow across the flood plain into Oyster
  Creek near Harris Reservoir and the Ramsey Unit Prison Farm.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Brazos River near Rosharon
* until further notice...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0901 PM Thursday the stage was 49.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 43.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue rising to near 50 feet by tomorrow afternoon and
  remain near 50 feet through Tuesday.
* At 50.8 feet...Moderate lowland flooding continues as minor flow passes
  through the culvert near the Ramsey Unit Prison Farm into Oyster Creek and
  water flows over the flood plain into Oyster Creek.

The Flood Warning continues for
 The Navasota River Near Normangee
* until Tuesday afternoon...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0900 PM Thursday the stage was 19.2 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by early
  Tuesday morning...however it will remain above moderate flood levels for next
  24 hours.
* At 20.0 feet...Major lowland flooding begins with massive inundation of the
  flood plain as the river is close to 2 miles wide and OSR become inundated one
  half mile on the right bank and 1.5 miles on the left bank.

 The Middle Yegua Creek NEAR Dime Box
* until Saturday evening...Or until the warning is cancelled.
* At 0915 PM Thursday the stage was 10.6 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Forecast...The river will continue to fall to below flood stage by Saturday
  morning.
* At 10.0 feet...Minor lowland flooding begins as water spills into the flood
  plain in the vicintiy of the gage. FM 141 below the confluence with West Yegua
  Creek is threatened and backwater flooding up West Yegua and Turkey Creeks in
  Lee County is likely.
