The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has extended the

* Flood Warning for...
  Jackson County in northeastern Alabama...
  DeKalb County in northeastern Alabama...

* Until 1130 AM CST

* At 808 AM CST, automated rain gauges indicated that several creeks
  and streams across Jackson and DeKalb county have reached or
  exceeded bankfull this morning. Specifically, Big Wills Creek in
  downtown Fort Payne has reached 12.3 feet which exceeds the 11
  foot flood stage. As the rainfall has moved out of the area, the
  creek has crested and should slowly recede though the remainder of
  the morning. Otherwise, some low lying areas and normal flood
  prone locations may continue to see high water through the morning
  hours.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Scottsboro, Fort Payne, Rainsville, Bridgeport, Little River Canyon
  National Preserve, Henagar, Stevenson, Collinsville, Crossville and
  Sylvania.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. All
interested parties should take necessary precautions immediately.
