FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR NORTHERN LOWER MICHIGAN
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GAYLORD MI
322 PM EDT Sat Mar 25 2017

...PERIODS OF WET AND AT TIMES WINTRY WEATHER INTO SUNDAY NIGHT...

.DISCUSSION...LOW PRESSURE IN SOUTHERN MISSOURI WILL MOVE SLOWLY
NORTHEAST...CROSSING LOWER MICHIGAN SUNDAY NIGHT. THE SYSTEM WILL
BE WEAKENING BY THEN. BUT BEFORE THEN...PRECIPITATION WILL EXPAND
NORTHWARD BACK INTO NORTHERN MICHIGAN THIS EVENING. THIS WILL FALL
AS RAIN SOUTH OF M-72...BUT AS YOU HEAD FURTHER NORTH MORE WILL
FALL AS FREEZING RAIN. ICE ACCUMULATIONS OF AROUND A TENTH OF AN
INCH ARE LIKELY TONIGHT...NEAR AND NORTH OF GAYLORD AND ALPENA.

WARMING TEMPERATURES WILL EVENTUALLY RESULT IN ALL RAIN FOR SUNDAY
AND SUNDAY NIGHT...WITH DIMINISHING CHANCES FOR RAIN LATE SUNDAY
NIGHT INTO MONDAY MORNING. MUCH QUIETER WEATHER IS EXPECTED MONDAY
NIGHT AND TUESDAY.

EAST TO SOUTHEAST WINDS WILL REMAIN ON THE BRISK SIDE INTO
SUNDAY...WITH WEAKENING WINDS THEREAFTER.
