Fire Weather Forecast for Northeast and North Central Colorado
National Weather Service Denver/Boulder CO
354 AM MDT Fri Aug 18 2017

.DISCUSSION...Today and tonight...There will be a drier and more
stable airmass over Northern Colorado today with warmer
temperatures and dry conditions on the plains. There will only be
a slight chance for thunderstorms over Park and Southern Summit
counties and over the far southern foothills of Jefferson County

LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Saturday through Tuesday...West-southwesterly
flow aloft and lee-side surface troughing will allow for warmer
temperatures this weekend into Monday. Storms will mainly be
confined to the high terrain, Palmer Divide and eastern plains,
with gusty outflow winds being the main impact. Minimum humidity
will be in the mid teens over the weekend, but then improve
everyday into next week. A cold front will slide south across the
area early Tuesday morning for cooler temperatures, weak upslope
flow and an increase in storm coverage and potential rainfall
amounts.

...Thunderstorms imply strong gusty erratic winds...
...All surface winds are 20-Foot...10-Minute averaged winds...
...CWR is Chance of Wetting Rain - 0.10 inch or more liquid...
...24 HR Trends are based on averages over the respective zone
groups and may not match the actual forecast values
                    shown in those groups...
