Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Central/Northern Vermont and
Northern New York
National Weather Service Burlington VT
429 AM EDT Fri Jun 23 2017

...More Showers Today With Drier Weather On Saturday...

.DISCUSSION...
Showers will move from west to east across the area this
morning...especially across northern New York and the northern
half of Vermont. A break in the precipitation may develop early
this afternoon...but more showers and even some thunderstorms will
move across the area right through the evening hours. Higher
humidities are expected today due to the precipitation...and
amounts should easily be in the quarter to half inch range this
morning with additional rainfall expected this afternoon and
tonight. Some areas this afternoon and tonight could easily
receive an additional half inch to an inch with any thunderstorms
moving across the area. The precipitation comes to an end late
tonight/early Saturday morning and drier weather is expected for
the remainder of Saturday...but afternoon relative humidities
will still remain high. Thus no fire weather concerns are
expected. Gusty south to southwest winds are expected this
afternoon with decreasing winds tonight and Saturday. Unsettled
weather is expected Sunday into the middle part of next week with
chances for showers just about everyday. Humidity and winds will
not be a concern during this period.
