FIRE WEATHER PLANNING FORECAST FOR CENTRAL SOUTH CAROLINA
AND EAST CENTRAL GEORGIA
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA SC
257 PM EST FRI FEB 5 2016

.DISCUSSION...HIGH PRESSURE WILL BUILD ACROSS THE AREA AND PROVIDE
A DRY BUT COLDER WEATHER PATTERN THROUGH LATE SATURDAY. LOW PRESSURE
WILL DEVELOP AND MOVE NORTHEAST OFF THE COAST SUNDAY...WITH LITTLE
OR NO PRECIPITATION REACHING INLAND ACROSS THE AREA.

THE PRESSURE GRADIENT WILL WEAKEN THIS EVENING...ALLOWING LOW-LEVEL
WINDS TO DIMINISH. THIS WILL CAUSE POOR DISPERSION TO DEVELOP AND
CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY SATURDAY MORNING. THE DRIER AIR MASS WILL
PREVENT ANY FOG FROM FORMING.

SURFACE WINDS WILL BE NORTHEAST AROUND 5 MPH EARLY SATURDAY MORNING
AND INCREASE TO 5 TO 10 MPH BY AFTERNOON. TRANSPORT WINDS WILL BE
NORTH-NORTHEAST AROUND 10 MPH FOR THE AFTERNOON. MINIMUM RELATIVE
HUMIDITIES WILL RANGE FROM 30 TO 35 PERCENT IN THE AFTERNOON.
